tytuł: Joseph Ratzinger's conception of Christological meditation as the heart of faith and theology
Teologia w Polsce 10,1 (2016) 165-175          pełny tekst artykułu   spis treści rocznika

słowa kluczowe: historiawiaraChrystusmedytacja

summarium/abstract:
This article is an attempt on an apologia for christological meditation, due to which according to Joseph Ratzinger "classical formulas of the Council of Chalcedon appear in the right context". Also, reflection towards Christology as an interpretation of Jesus' prayer, the bond between the Father and the Son, which in the Paschal Mystery becomes the core of the faith of the Christian Church will be proposed. An attempt to explore the problem of modern understanding of the unity of historicity and divinity of Jesus as well as to try to find an answer to a question of the character of the christological conundrum celebrated during the Eucharist will be made.

MYSTERY OF CHURCH AND SALVATION OF MAN
Summary
The subject of this study is not only reflection upon the mystery of the Church, but also inquiring on the mystery of man's salvation. The foundation of the Church by Jesus Christ is the beginning of a new phase in the history of salvation. At the same time this mystery is expressed in the daily life of a Christian through his or her cooperation with the Holy Spirit. In this sacred mystery of the Church a communion of God with a man is formed. In this way, the mystery of salvation becomes the essence of man and through the sacramental life, divine elements permeate with human elements. This penetration of the divine and human elements is a mystery and at the same time the evidence that is saving and penetrating Christian life. Thus we see that the Church in all its fullness appears two - dimensional, the divine and the human. In those dimensions, both divine and human salvation "occurs".

Summary:
St. Irenaeus as a western figure has a different exegetical account of Genesis which provides some of the foundational principles for his theological concepts of the ‘new Adam' and recapitulation. The western theological tradition has instead taken the approach handed down by St. Augustine which is seen in St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body. This article will describe the difficulties of Irenaeus's view while also showing the faults of the Augustinian position as shown in John Paul II while comparing the fruit of both in order to develop a synthesis that can encapsulate the fruit of both positions.

THE THEOLOGY OF DIVINE MERCY
Summary
God's Mercy never threatens man's dignity. It elevates human dignity to the Divine level of "second creation." This is a kind of "divinization" of man, in which human love is transformed by the Divine mercy into closeness to God. Divine Mercy compensates all human imperfections - not only sins, but all kinds of weakness and limitations of the person's existence. This is how love and mercy are in the heart of the relationship between God and man. Love and mercy are two aspects of one grace: The grace of Divine Love gives life, while the grace of Divine Mercy purifies and perfects human nature. Therefore, Divine Mercy is a precondition on human participation in the nature of God. To put it briefly, man is created through love and saved through mercy.

THE SACRAMENT OF PENANCE. CONTEMPORARY CRISIS AND THE DOCTRINAL RESPONSE
Summary
The sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation - a confession - in the recent decades has become a subject of manifold theological interpretations which have influenced its practicing. Recursively suggested interpretations have resulted in various critical moments in its practicing, or at least they contribute to the rise of suspicions directed at it. The situation calls for reconsideration of certain aspects of the theology of the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. It appears that the Church doctrine preserved in this matter implies the need for consideration of the three most vital questions, namely: what is the specific grace of the sacrament of Penance, what does the likeness of Christ, resulting from this sacrament, consist in, and how is the actual ecclesiality of the sacrament manifested. This article focuses on these three questions, positioning itself in a direct reference to the mentioned symptoms of the crisis in the sphere of sacramental penance. In the case of the first question the reader's attention is brought to the relation between the sacrament of Penance and Baptism, which makes it possible to grasp the specificity of sacramental penance. The second question emphasises the truth that the likeness of Christ the Redeemer, who through his death judges men's sins, may be achieved only by penance. As far as the third question is concerned, it is reminded that through conversion and penance a Christian renews his bond with the Church that in turn supports the sinner in the act of conversion and penance.

THE ONE CRUCIFIED AND RISEN AS SON RECEIVED BY FATHER. A PERSONALISTIC CONTRIBUTION TO THE TRINITARIAN CONCEPTION OF THE ECONOMY OF SALVATION (2)
Summary
The inspiration to write this article is to a large extent the text of the not given conference no of late Fr. Eugeniusz Dutkiewicz SAC (†2002), one of the precursors of the hospice movement in Poland. The article consists of four points. The first point shows that the suffering person can go the way of liberation from himself and rely on God. The human body has a dialogical structure, and thus the man by the conscious act of devotion can become a victim. Christ's sacrifice should be understood that way. He offers a sacrifice from himself to the Father. It is a sacrifice of love, obedience and boundless devotion to the Father. The Father's adoption of the Son's sacrifice is testified by the fact that "God raised him from the dead" (Rm 10: 9). For his friends, and through them to the whole world, the Risen Jesus is a revealer of love of the Triune God, Source, Redeemer and Giver of life.

SON'S ASCENSION. THE NEW FORM OF CHRIST'S PRESENCE WITH BROTHERS
Summary
The Risen Christ reveals the love of God the Father and reveals himself as His beloved Son. In Him, every man is accepted by God. Ascension is the next step in the mission of Christ, which completes in His return to the Father. In Him man returns to his Father. The exaltation of Christ is already made on Calvary. Through the cross Son opens the door to Father's house for His brothers. Acending to the heaven, Christ does not leave the disciples and foretells the coming of the Holy Spirit. That is why the Apostles after the Ascension did not suffer sorrow, but they glorified God and expected the Paraclete. The presence of the Master of Nazareth took on another dimension, a new form. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus still reveals the Father to the disciples, this is done especially in the Eucharist.

Dtn 30,19-20).

KERYGMA AND MYSTAGOGY IN THE SALVIFIC ENCOUNTER OF MODERN MAN WITH GOD
Summary
Man is the way of the Church. So what ways should the Church seek today in order to reach man who will not be afraid to encounter Christ, to attain the truth about Him and to accept Him into his life? It is one of main ideas of Pope Francis' exhortation Evangelii Gaudium. The Pope points to two fundamental and inextricably linked issues: kerygma and mystagogy. The dynamism of kerygma ought to shape the celebration of the mysteries of faith and thus the process of the transformation of life will lead to a formation in Christlikeness, which means shaping the attitudes in imitation of Christ.
